These adapters let you mount wheels with a different bolt pattern onto your vehicle.
Features
- Bottom Piece Attachment: The bottom piece attaches directly to the vehicle's hub, the same place where the original wheel mounts. Ensure your original studs do not extend beyond the surface of this piece. If they do, trim them.
- Second Piece Attachment: The second piece attaches to the bottom piece and is where the new wheel mounts, allowing for a different bolt pattern.
- Securing Mechanism: The second piece is secured to the bottom piece with countersink Allen bolts, which sit flush or below the surface to avoid interference.
- Dowel Pins: Dowel pins provide additional alignment and stability, ensuring accurate alignment before tightening the bolts.
- Thread Locker: Use thread locker on the lug nuts attached to the bottom piece and the countersink bolts that secure the second piece to the bottom piece to prevent loosening.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are 5 to 6 lug two-piece construction wheel adapters safe?
Yes, our design ensures the weight is evenly distributed across the aluminum plates. Dowel pins provide precise alignment, and the plates are hub-centric to each other. With enough bolts to secure the plates, you won't experience any issues when installed correctly.
Installation Instructions
- Your studs must not extend past the face of the wheel spacer/adapter. If they do, trim them down.
- Minimal trimming of factory studs is required for adapters 1.5" or smaller.
- Use factory torque specifications to mount the wheel spacer adapter and your wheels.
- Use blue or red Loctite on the vehicle stud side and countersink bolts.
- Proper installation and safety precautions are crucial. Incorrect installation can lead to wheel separation, loss of control, and accidents. If unsure, seek professional help or consult experts.
